Brighton comedian and presenter Zoe Lyons is supporting Make Change Count, a city-wide campaign bringing together eight leading homelessness charities to help people experiencing homelessness, or at risk of homelessness, across Brighton & Hove.
As we mark World Homeless Day on 10 October, Zoe is helping to shine a light on homelessness in our city and encourage local people, businesses and organisations to get behind the campaign.
Speaking about why she is supporting Make Change Count, Zoe said:
I’m supporting Make Change Count as it brings charities together to help people who are facing homelessness in our city. Everybody deserves a safe space.
Homelessness is complex. For many people, finding somewhere to sleep is just the beginning.
People experiencing homelessness can need a wide range of support to help them move towards greater stability and independence. This can include street outreach, emergency accommodation, supported housing, specialist services, health and wellbeing support, and practical help towards securing a longer-term home. That is why collaboration matters.
