YMCA England & Wales have announced the finalists for the Youth Matters Awards, and we are thrilled to share that we have made it to the final for both categories, Support & Advice (Creating a Culture of Collaboration) and Training & Education (EVOLVE).
Over the last few weeks, nominations in all categories were reviewed by YMCA England and Wales, including a record-breaking public vote with more than 18,000 votes cast.
Special thanks to Briony Banks, who put together this years entries, and congratulations to everyone at YMCA Brighton who are constantly working towards making our organisation even more supportive and collaborative environment for both staff and clients of YMCA Brighton; supporting the homelessness community is at the heart of YMCA Brighton, with the goal to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals by providing them with the support and housing they need to thrive and live independent and fulfilling lives. We are extremely proud of our team at EVOLVE also, who help people living in supported housing or accessing homelessness services in the city of Brighton and Hove to achieve their work, learning or volunteering aspirations.
A huge congratulations to everyone again, and an immense thank you all to those who voted for us and shared the voting platform around – every vote counted!
The awards will take place 3 November 2023, where we will find out who the winners of each category are, but it is a wonderful achievement to make it the final!
