YMCA Brighton were fortunate enough to attend YMCA England & Wales Youth Matters Awards on the 3rd of November.
It was a truly inspirational evening, witnessing the achievements and projects of all other YMCAs across England & Wales. A huge congratulations to all the finalists and winners across the organisations, particularly the winners of the categories who we were up against: YMCA Crewe for their Refugee Realities project, which won the Training & Education Project of the Year, and YMCA Norfolk who won Support & Advice Project of the Year with their SOS Bus. You can read more about their entries here.
However, we are particularly proud of our teams at YMCA Brighton & EVOLVE who were finalists for both the ‘Training & Education’ and ‘Support & Advice’ categories! We couldn’t be prouder of all the hard work and dedication they have achieved. It is wonderful to see the works of our staff and clients getting the well deserved recognition at the Youth Matters Awards.
Over the last year, the teams at YMCA Brighton and EVOLVE have created a supporting community for those who would otherwise be homeless in Brighton and Hove. Their goal is to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals by providing them with the support and housing they need to thrive and live independent and fulfilling lives.
